Hero summons in Companions all happen at the Noble Tavern, which opens after Campaign stage 1-12. The Common and Faction pools give an Elite hero 4% of the time. Destiny Summon, which opens after 5-40, is the only place to get a newly released faction hero for its first 28 days, and half of its Elite results are the Featured Hero you pick. Stargazer and the Celestial & Hypogean summon open once you've done 550 summons.

The 10x diamond price is the only discount anywhere in the Tavern: 2,700 for ten Common summons against 3,000 for ten singles. Destiny Summon and the Celestial & Hypogean Summon charge a flat 300 and 750 per summon either way.

Beasts have their own summon, Beast Wish, which pays out Fabled beasts at 3.30% and is covered in the beasts guide.

Rates

The Common Pool and every Faction Pool share one rate table. Hero rarity here is the starting tier: Common heroes start green, Rare heroes blue, Elite heroes purple, and only Elite heroes can climb to Ascended.

ResultCommon and Faction PoolsCompanion Pool
Elite hero4%2.41%
Rare hero44%44.69%
Common hero52%52.9%

Destiny Summon and the Celestial & Hypogean Summon list the same split:

ResultDestiny Summon and Celestial & Hypogean Summon
Featured Hero2%
Other Elite hero2%
Rare hero44%
Common hero54%

Those four lines add up to 102%, so treat the Common figure as approximate; the Elite figures are the ones that matter. Within your chance-up summons, the Featured Hero takes half of all Elite results.

The Temple of Time is the Awakened summon. Its pool hero is the one you choose from Solise (Water Animator), Talene (The Resurging Flame), Brutus (Lion's Pride), Maetria (Duskfeather), Baden (Knight of Blight) and Thane (The Veiled Wind), and that hero comes up 2% of the time. The other 98% is emblems, enhancement tokens, gold, Hero EXP and Hero's Essence chests, faction hero cards and a 0.01% shot at 30,000 diamonds.

Stargazer works the same way with an Elite hero you set as your Stargazer Hero. You can pick any Elite hero except the Dimensional heroes (Merlin is the one exception) and, at the moment, Alna and Vyloris. The rate list shows two hero entries at 1.00% each, two 30,000-diamond prizes at 0.005% each, Mythic gear pieces at 0.07% each, Elite faction cards at 0.80% each, and resource items for the rest.

Destiny Summon

Destiny Summon runs in seasons. A season either features one newly released hero, or offers a list of heroes from which you pick one Featured Hero. New faction heroes can only be pulled here for their first 28 days (two updates); after that they join the Common Pool. In a pick-one season you can switch the Featured Hero freely until your first summon, and then it's locked for the season.

Chance-up summons

The 2% Featured Hero rate only applies while you have chance-up summons left, and each Featured Hero you pull uses one. You start a season with 4, and owning higher-tier heroes adds more:

RequirementExtra chance-up summons
Own 2 Legendary or higher heroes+2
Own 2 Mythic or higher heroes+2
Own 1 Ascended or higher hero+3
Own 1 5-star Ascended hero+3

That's 14 chance-up summons at most. Once they're gone you can still pull the Featured Hero, but the game warns you that it's no longer guaranteed: from then on it's just one more name in the Elite pool.

Progress rewards

Destiny Summon also counts your summons each season and pays out at fixed totals:

Summons this seasonReward
6010 Destiny Summon Scrolls
14010 Destiny Summon Scrolls
24015 Rare Hero Choice Cards
3601 copy of the Featured Hero
4802 Mythic Choice Chests for the season's faction

The two scroll rewards hand back 20 of the first 140 summons, and the 360 mark is the closest thing Destiny Summon has to a hard pity: a guaranteed Featured Hero copy regardless of luck.

Celestial & Hypogean Summon

This is the periodic summon for Celestial and Hypogean heroes. You can change its Featured Hero at any point during the event, Celestial and Hypogean heroes released within the last 12 months are left out of it, and it has a cap of 16 copies per period, after which it locks until the next one. Its progress rewards:

SummonsReward
5010 Stargazer Scrolls
100, 150, 300, 500, 600, 70010 Celestial/Hypogean Scrolls each
200 and 4001 copy of the Featured Hero each
250 and 3502 Mythic Choice Chests each

The wishlist

The wishlist holds up to 5 heroes per faction, 20 in total. It doesn't raise the Elite rate. What it does is steer which Elite you get: whenever a summon lands on an Elite hero, the game favors the heroes on your wishlist. Celestial, Hypogean, Awakened and max-starred heroes can't go on it. Leaving slots empty wastes it: while the wishlist has empty slots, the game warns that any Elite you pull comes at the same odds as every other Elite hero. Cutting the list down to one hero doesn't concentrate the odds on that hero either.

From the wishlist screen you can also replace your list with the most popular heroes from the Popular Heroes board. It fills each faction left to right and tops up from your old list if a faction has fewer than 5 popular heroes.

Tavern points

Every Common Pool or Faction Pool summon adds 1 Tavern point; Destiny Summon and the other pools add none. Points pay out a small chest at 20, 50 and 80 and then every 20 points, and every 100th point (100, 200, up to 1,400) is a Factional Hero Choice Card, which gives a random Elite hero from the faction you choose. Up to 1,400 points, that's one guaranteed Elite per 100 Common or Faction summons on top of the 4% rate.

Spending order

Destiny Summon is the only pool where one hero you picked takes half of the Elite results, and its 360-summon copy plus 20 refunded scrolls make it the better place for diamonds while you still have chance-up summons, even at 3,000 per ten against the Common Pool's 2,700. Common Hero Scrolls and Faction Scrolls belong in their own pools, where they also build Tavern points and the 550-summon count that opens Stargazer. Fill every wishlist slot before you spend anything in those pools.
