STORY

Sion is an agility-based ranger hero of the Draconis faction. He wields the power of wind, summoning vortices that split his basic attacks to strike multiple foes at once.

"Bloodline decides fate." - This was the creed Sion grew up with.

Born into a family of Dragolites, he was seen by Highborn Dragons as an outsider, unworthy of their pride and respect. Despite his extraordinary talent and strength, Sion faced constant disdain and bullying. No matter how hard he worked, someone always reminded him: a Dragolite would never be accepted.

But the scorn and oppression didn't break him. Instead, they hardened his resolve, like a rock weathering a storm. All he needed was a chance to prove himself, and the Draconic Council's trials to select the Praetorian Guard were his moment to shine.

After years of preparation, Sion stepped onto the trial grounds. This wasn't just a test of strength-it was a battle of wits, endurance, and strategy. Many elites had failed here, and no Dragolite had ever made it past the first round.

Against all odds, he aced the preliminary trials and faced the final challenge: defeating a monstrous beast that had crushed countless competitors. Instead of brute force, Sion relied on his sharp instincts and agility, probing for weaknesses. When the beast faltered, he seized the moment, ending the fight with one decisive move.

His victory left the arena stunned. The council elders exchanged uneasy glances, their eyes wide with disbelief. After heated debate, they agreed to include Sion as a candidate for the Praetorian Guard, a decision that sent shockwaves through Dragon Isle. No Dragolite had ever come this close to the Praetorian Guard, and it challenged the unspoken rules that had stood for centuries.

But Sion's triumph didn't make life easier. His new teammates met him with hostility, calling him a "half-breed" and assigning him the most dangerous missions. It was clear they wanted him gone.

"What's the point of trying? You can't change what you are," the instructor taunted.

Sion didn't respond. Instead, he trained alone late into the night, perfecting every move, determined to match and even surpass those who doubted him. Still, no amount of effort earned their respect. Sion remained an outcast. But instead of growing discouraged, he refused to give up. He believed his time would come if he stayed ready.

One day, Sion's squad was sent on a routine patrol to the edges of Dragon Isle. While the others treated it as a boring chore, Sion stayed alert, his caution drawing mockery.

"Relax, half-breed. There's nothing out here," the captain jeered, the others laughing along.

Sion ignored them, keeping his focus sharp. He noticed the sky darkening, the air crackling with unnatural energy. He warned the captain to turn back, but the captain brushed him off, insisting they push forward.

Then, without warning, lightning split the sky, and a storm of wind, thunder, and ice engulfed them.

"Elemental storm! Fall back!" the captain shouted, leading the team toward safety. But a sudden whirlwind erupted, dragging one of the members into the storm's heart. Their screams were swallowed by the roaring chaos.

The group froze in panic. The captain tried to rush in for a rescue, but the wall of lightning forced them back, its searing currents too dangerous to approach.

"We can't get through!" After a few failed attempts, despair set in. "If we go any closer, we're dead..."

The storm raged on, the trapped teammate's figure flickering in the chaotic flashes of light. Sion took a deep breath, summoned a protective wind barrier, and stepped toward the storm.

"Don't be an idiot!" the captain snapped, grabbing Sion's shoulder. "You're just a Dragolite, don't be foolish!"

"I'll go get help! If he can just hold on..."

"By the time help gets here, he'll be gone!" Sion shook off the captain and plunged into the storm.

The howling winds and crackling lightning tore at him, the freezing cold numbing his limbs. But Sion pushed forward, his sharp instincts guiding him through the chaos. Deep within the storm, he found his teammate, unconscious and battered.

Sion shielded the man with his body, gritted his teeth, and fought against the icy gales, stumbling step by step toward safety. Every movement was a battle, every bolt of lightning a threat. Blood dripped from his wounds, the pain searing through him, but he refused to stop.

As they neared the edge of the storm, a bolt of lightning shot down. Without thinking, Sion threw himself over his teammate, taking the full brunt of the strike. The pain was blinding, his vision fading.

Outside the storm, the others saw his faltering figure through the flashes of light. They quickly summoned their own barriers, deflecting the deadly strikes and clearing a path for Sion to escape.

With their help, Sion dragged his teammate out of the storm. He collapsed, unconscious, and was carried away by the medics.

When Sion woke, he was back at camp, surrounded by his team and instructors. The captain, who had once looked down on him, now offered a solemn nod of thanks. The rescued teammate, tears in his eyes, could barely speak through his gratitude.

The storm had changed everything. Sion hadn't just saved a life-he'd earned the respect of the Highborn Dragons who had once dismissed him. The instructor submitted a formal commendation to the council, and Sion's actions during the mission secured his place as a full member of the Praetorian Guard.

He was no longer just a "half-breed." He was one of them.

As a member of the Praetorian Guard, Sion quickly proved himself, leading the charge in dangerous missions and becoming a key figure of the team. Still, he never let up. He knew the road ahead was long, and the weight of his bloodline still lingered. The real fight was just beginning.

"My bloodline will not define my future. I'll make sure of that."

The storm passed, and the first light of dawn broke over Dragon Isle, its warmth spreading across the land. Like Sion's unshakable resolve, the darkness had given way to a new dawn.

He was ready-not just to prove himself, but to pave the way for others like him, to show that even those bound by prejudice could rise above and claim their place in the world.
