A beast is a fighter that joins your lineup alongside the five heroes. Its three Attribute Buffs raise every hero's HP, ATK and Defense and add extra stats to heroes of one type, its training adds more team stats and a training skill, and the beast itself casts its own skill during battle. Enemy heroes can't damage a beast, only enemy beasts can. The team-wide bonuses from Attribute Buffs depend only on the beast's tier and level, so which beast you pick within a tier comes down to its skill, its type-specific stats and its training.

| Elite | 23 | 12 | 36 | 138 |

Getting beasts
Lure
Each lure costs 10 Bait. You set a wishlist of 3 Elite beasts, and every Elite beast the lure gives you comes from that list.
| Result | Chance |
|---|---|
| Elite beast (one of your 3 wishlist beasts, 0.8333% each) | 2.50% |
| Rare beast | 45.00% |
| Spice Materials x3 | 52.50% |
Every 300 Spice Materials turn into one Secret Spice automatically, and a Secret Spice buys a copy of an Elite beast of your choice. Copies beyond what a beast needs to reach max level also turn into Spice Materials: 2 for each extra Rare beast and 100 for each extra Elite beast. If fewer than 3 of your beasts are below max level, the lure only gives beasts that still need copies.
At 2.5%, an Elite copy takes 40 lures (400 Bait) on average, and a full Elite beast takes 138 copies. Since every Elite result lands on the wishlist, keep only beasts you're actually levelling on it.
Wishing Shrine
The Wishing Shrine uses Wish Leaves, one per wish or five for a 5x wish. You pick the Fabled beast it offers.
| Prize | Chance |
|---|---|
| Chosen Fabled beast | 4.00% |
| 30,000 diamonds | 0.01% |
| Legendary Bizarre Totem Card | 0.50% |
| Spice Materials x2 / x4 | 26.00% / 18.00% |
| Primordial Emblem x1 / x2 | 8.00% / 5.00% |
| Amplifying Emblem x1 / x2 | 8.00% / 5.00% |
| Fortuitous Emblem Choice Chest x1 / x2 | 4.00% / 2.50% |
| Large Gold Chest | 6.33% |
| Large Hero EXP Chest | 6.33% |
| Large Hero's Essence Chest | 6.33% |
That's 25 wishes per Fabled copy on average.
Resonant Fountain
The Resonant Fountain hands out copies of new beasts so they catch up with your best ones. It fills with your highest-level beasts automatically, and once all of them reach the required level you can ascend it. Each ascension gives every beast outside the Fountain enough copies to reach the resonance level. A beast that's already above that level gets Secret Spices for the excess instead, and the first copy of a beast is never paid out.
| Fountain level | Beasts in the Fountain | Level they must reach |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 6 |
| 2 | 5 | 9 |
| 3 | 6 | 12 |
| 4 | 7 | 15 |
| 5 | 8 | 18 |
Beast Growth Bundles
Every Elite and Fabled beast has a growth bundle that tracks the highest level it has reached. Alongside the paid tiers, each one has free rewards. An Elite beast's free track pays 25 Bait at levels 0 and 3, 50 at 6 and 9, 100 at 12 and 15, and an avatar at 18, for 350 Bait in total. A Fabled beast's free track pays 50 Bait at levels 0 and 12, Wish Leaves at 6 (2), 18 (3), 24 (5) and 30 (5), and an avatar at 36. Players below VIP 5 see the bundles up to Elite level 6 and Fabled level 12 at first.
Attribute Buffs
Each beast has three Attribute Buffs, one each for Strength, Intelligence and Agility. Levelling a buff costs copies of the same beast.
| Buff level | Rare beast copies | Elite beast copies |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 1 |
| 2 | 4 | 1 |
| 3 | 6 | 3 |
| 4 | 6 | 3 |
| 5 | 9 | 4 |
| 6 | 9 | 4 |
| 7 to 12 | None | 5 each |
The beast itself counts as the first copy, which makes an Elite beast's first upgrade free. Once a beast reaches level 18, it can only keep going after all three of its buffs are at 6.
Every buff does two things. It gives heroes of its own type a set of stats that differs from beast to beast. Polar Beast's Strength buff at 12, for example, gives Strength heroes HP +14.54%, ATK +7.27%, Accuracy +71.32, Magic Resist +13.02, Vitality +8.84 and Life Leech +7.27. It also gives every hero on the team HP, ATK and Defense, and those team-wide numbers are the same for every beast of a tier:
| Tier and buff level | HP | ATK | Defense |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rare, 6 | +2.05% | +1.49% | +5.53% |
| Elite, 6 | +8.14% | +5.94% | +22% |
| Elite, 12 | +14.03% | +10.24% | +37.93% |
| Fabled, 6 | +8.6% | +6.28% | +23.26% |
| Fabled, 12 | +15.34% | +11.2% | +41.47% |
| Fabled, 18 | +18.7% | +13.65% | +50.57% |
Each of the three buffs adds its own team-wide bonus, so a beast with all three at 12 gives three times the Elite level 12 numbers above.
Fabled beast levels
Fabled buffs cost Bait as well as copies after level 6, and each displayed level past 6 is made of 5 smaller steps. The buffs stop at 12 until you clear breakthrough tasks:
| Breakthrough | Requirement | New buff cap |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Own 1 Fabled beast at level 36 | 14 |
| 2 | Make 3,500 wishes at the Wishing Shrine | 16 |
| 3 | Own 3 Fabled beasts at level 48 | 18 |
One Fabled buff costs 16 copies to reach 6, 45 copies and 8,400 Bait to reach 12, and 81 copies and 24,600 Bait to reach 18.
Skills and training
A Rare or Elite beast starts with its skill and upgrades it at beast levels 6, 12 and 18. A Fabled beast upgrades its main skill every 3 levels up to 18, unlocks a second skill at 21 with upgrades at 27 and 33, and unlocks Starlight Gift bonuses at 24, 30 and 36 that only work in Nightmare Corridor, Cursed Realm and Treasure Scramble.
Training opens at beast levels 3, 9 and 15 and costs nothing but time.
| Training level | Beast level needed | Time | Skip cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 3 | 6 hours | 60 diamonds |
| 2 | 9 | 6 hours | 60 diamonds |
| 3 | 15 | 12 hours | 120 diamonds |
Each training level on an Elite beast unlocks a training skill (Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Training) and adds team-wide HP, ATK and Defense that does vary by beast. The three training levels stack: with all three done, Polar Beast gives HP +18.36%, ATK +8.31% and Defense +18.86%, while Thistlekin gives HP +9.18%, ATK +10.72% and Defense +34.74%. Fabled beasts get the team stats from training as well. Rare beasts get neither a training skill nor training stats.
In battle
The beast fills its Beast Energy during the fight, most of them faster when their own trigger happens, then casts its skill. Heroes can't hurt a beast, so the beast stays in the fight to the end unless the other side has a beast too.
| Beast | Tier | Skill at level 0 | Builds energy when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dreary Ball | Rare | 280% ATK to all enemies | No extra trigger |
| Tufty Ears | Rare | Heals all allies 20% max HP, overheal becomes a 5-second shield | No extra trigger |
| Grassy Orb | Rare | All allies ATK +10% and Crit Rating +10 for 6 seconds | No extra trigger |
| Polar Beast | Elite | 300% ATK to all enemies | Enemy heroes are controlled |

| Fox Fatale | Elite | Top enemy damage dealer deals 40% less damage for 6 seconds | Allies hit the weakened enemy |
| Shroom Spooder | Elite | 8-second mist dealing 85% ATK per second | Enemies lose HP to your attacks |
| Radish Rotunda | Elite | Heals the weakest ally 20% max HP, Sunny Sky raises healing 20% | Allies are healed |

| Aureus | Elite | Follows your highest-ATK hero, normal attacks +40% damage plus joint attacks | Its hero normal attacks |
| Pearlcrest Ibis | Elite | Heals all allies 3 x 250% ATK, Proficiency +35 | Twin lotuses bloom (from level 6) |
| Treatspector | Elite | Candy gives allies ATK +40%, Lockdown drains 5% HP per second | Enemies move |
| Joyous Roamer | Elite | Answers enemy energy drain with a 200% ATK fireball and 2-second stun | Enemies drain allies' energy |
| Trickery Chest | Elite | 250% ATK to all enemies, Doomed Treasure wastes an enemy's next ultimate | Anyone gains or loses energy |
| Thistlekin | Elite | Damages nearby enemies for 3% of its max HP each second, curses the top enemy damage dealer | Enemies cast ultimates |
| Nightfall Pegasus | Fabled | Melancholy stacks cut enemy Damage Resist and damage dealt | No extra trigger |
| Count Snickerfang | Fabled | Carrot Pits every 5 seconds explode for 360% ATK | No extra trigger |
| Twinlum Spirit | Fabled | Nebulas heal and boost allies or damage and weaken enemies | No extra trigger |
| Blazefang | Fabled | Singe and Waxen Rot (enemies take 25% more damage), Melt Blast for 250% ATK | No extra trigger |
Pearlcrest Ibis's Basic Training ties straight into the faction system: if your largest faction group has fewer than 5 heroes, it counts as one hero bigger for the formation bonus. That turns three of a kind into four of a kind, or four into five.
Choosing a beast
Level and tier come first. The team-wide stats are identical for every beast of a tier at the same level, and an Elite beast at 12/12/12 gives each hero roughly 42% HP, 31% ATK and 114% Defense from its buffs alone. A beast you can't level costs you more than a weaker skill does.
After that, match the skill to the team. Control-heavy lineups feed Polar Beast and Slumber Seal energy, healer lineups feed Bellbellow and Radish Rotunda, and teams built around one carry get the most from Aureus, Phantasmoth and Fire Breather, which all attach to your top hero. Training stats lean differently by beast too: Thistlekin, Savage Soufflé and Treatspector give the most Defense, Rock Crown Lizard and Polar Beast the most HP, and Winged Lion and Slumber Seal the most ATK.
