The AFK Arena test server is a separate realm where Lilith runs upcoming patches before they reach the live servers, so the people playing there see new heroes, events and balance changes first. It's a real server rather than a sandbox, with its own app, its own login, its own accounts and its own leaderboards. Nothing moves between it and your live account in either direction.

The test realm only runs ahead while a patch is waiting to go out. Between patches it runs the same build as live: on October 22, 2026, two days after patch 1.205 went live, both were on build 1.205.02. When a new patch is ready it lands on the test realm first, and the head start has ranged from a few days to about two weeks. Hero numbers, rewards and events can still change between the test build and the live release, so treat what you see there as a preview.

The test client also carries AFK Arena: Companions, which has its own test realm, in the same way the live app carries both.

How to get on it

There's no sign-up, application or invite code. You install the test client and create an account inside it.

On Android, the test client is its own app and installs next to the live game, so you keep both. Lilith lists it on Google Play as "AFK Arena" by LilithGames under the package name com.lilithgames.hgame.gp.id. If that listing doesn't show up in your country's Play Store, players install the same client from its APK file instead, which means allowing installs from unknown sources for whichever app opens the file. Only take the file from a source you trust, since a modified client can carry malware and your login goes through it.

On PC, install the test client inside an Android emulator the same way you would on a phone. Running it in a second emulator instance lets you keep the live game open in the first; the PC guide covers emulators and multi-instance setup.

There is no test client for iPhone or iPad.

The client downloads the current test build every time it starts, so an older copy of the app still updates itself to the newest patch before you log in. Only a copy older than the minimum app version the game accepts has to be reinstalled.

What carries over

Nothing. The test realm doesn't see your live heroes, gear, diamonds, VIP level, guild or friends, and nothing you earn or buy on the test realm ever moves to your live account. Spend money there only if you plan to keep playing there. To see endgame modes on the test realm you need a test account that has progressed that far on its own, so a fresh account is mostly a window onto new heroes and early content.

What it's useful for

The main use is planning. A new hero shows up on the test realm before the live banner, along with its skills, its signature item and furniture, and any event built around it, so you can read the kit and watch it fight before deciding whether to save diamonds and scrolls for it on live. The same goes for new game modes, Twisted Realm and Cursed Realm changes, and reworked heroes: by the time a patch reaches live, the test realm has already shown how it plays.
