Have you ever wondered how seemingly everyone has access to the patch notes and updates in AFK Arena before they’re actually live?
The answer is the Test Server. Patch notes and updates are always pushed to these servers before global, as it’s a way for Lilith to test them out a little bit. They don’t usually change much though.
They’re not technically “test” servers, really it’s just a few servers located in a small separate region in Asia. You can still buy things on there, and for all intents and purposes it is a “real” server.
How To Get on The Test Server?
All you’ll need to do is download the APK for the game, which is separate from the real server.
The icon for the test server is also different, it’s a red version of the old AFK Arena icon:
Test Server Download
This is the latest version of the client (patch 1.55). However, it doesnt really matter which version you use, unless it’s extremely old, as it will simply update to the latest version automatically anyway.
How to Install the APK
If you’re on PC/Mac and using an android emulator such as BlueStacks, then you can simply download the APK file from the above link and click on it. The emulator will do the rest.
Mobile users on Android can just download the APK and press “Install”. You may get some kind of notice that says “Your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source”.
To get past this:
1.) Tap on “Settings“.
2.) Go to the “Security“. settings.
3.) Enable the “Unknown sources” option.
As for iOS devices, unfortunately it isn’t possible to get the test server via the APK as they’re only usable on Android (APK stands for “Android Package”.)
