It was nearly a thousand years ago that a great battle erupted on this ancient battleground, a place where thousands of nameless souls found their final resting place. Once a lush forest, the elements were not kind to this land. Now, all that remains is an unending marshland that spans as far as the eye can see. Pungent smells and gases assail the nostrils and obscure one's sight. The bubbling viscous undergrowth clings to any would-be adventurers, as if it were alive, refusing to relinquish its grasp on them. Although beset with its danger, the marsh does little to discourage the reckless and foolhardy adventurers that traverse it. Being the only way to the southern island, they have no choice but to accept the risk. Could the treasures hidden on the island be worth dying for?
