The Cinder Grottoes are on the site of an ancient palace. After the merciless magic bombings of several hundred years of The Cinder War, the earth was torn asunder and the palace collapsed into ruins. The enduring war had an overwhelmingly negative impact on humanity, and many of their greatest achievements and finest architecture were destroyed - the history books and ancient records gone with them. Although the Cinder Grottoes are dilapidated, it's rumored they still hide many ancient magic tomes. Doubtless, the Esperian Order of the Sun were lured here by such rare knowledge. In order to find the lost magic of the Cinder Grottoes, the Order of the Sun send a number of their mages to search the place. Unfortunately, only one of them survived. After hearing from the survivor of a terrible monster waiting inside, the Lightbearer temple sent in a team to exorcise the lurking creature. In the dark depths, the two forces must both act cautiously in the face of unseen dangers.
